Who provides Butterspace
Butterspace is provided by Concept 27 SIA, registration number 40203495052, VAT ID LV40203495052, Nicgales iela 38-63, Riga, Latvia, LV-1035. Contact: help@butter.space. In these terms, 'we', 'us' and 'our' mean Concept 27 SIA.
These terms cover butter.space, app.butter.space, their supported Butterspace domains, the demo, workspace services, subscriptions and Butterspace Recipes in ChatGPT. The Privacy policy explains personal data handling. Our Data processing addendum applies when we process personal data in a business customer's workspace on its behalf.
Accounts and eligibility
Butterspace is for people aged 18 or older. It can be used by individuals and organizations. If you act for an organization, you must be authorized to accept these terms for it. That organization is responsible for the members it invites and the content they add.
Use accurate account and billing information, keep your Google or email sign-in secure, and tell us promptly about unauthorized access. Workspace owners manage membership and roles. Do not sell or share your personal sign-in credentials.
Using the service
Butterspace helps you organize products, recipes, menus and purchasing information. Availability can depend on your location, internet connection and our service providers. We may update the service, fix errors and perform maintenance. We will give appropriate notice of material changes affecting a paid subscription.
The browser demo keeps its workspace on your device. Clearing browser storage or changing browsers can erase that local work. The demo is separate from your signed-in workspace.
AI Import is optional and uses Google's Gemini API. It can misread files or produce incorrect quantities, units, prices, ingredients or instructions. Review results before saving or relying on them. Use AI Import only where the provider supports your location. Butterspace does not provide food safety, allergy, nutrition, accounting or tax advice.
Butterspace Recipes in ChatGPT
These terms also cover Butterspace Recipes in ChatGPT. You can add recipes from text, photos or spreadsheets without a Butterspace account. These recipes stay in the current chat; Butterspace does not save them to an account or synchronize them across chats and devices.
Connecting a Butterspace account is optional. Sign in and choose a workspace to load its recipes and save changes across chats and devices. The connection can read, save, edit, categorize and archive recipes, create missing linked ingredient products, and calculate scaled quantities and shopping lists. Your workspace role determines what you can change. Owners control team connections. New member connections need the owner's team ChatGPT setting enabled. Previously approved connections remain until reviewed or revoked. Edits affect the shared workspace and its other members.
Connecting does not copy chat recipes automatically. Use Save recipes to Butterspace to review and select them. Matching recipes are skipped; saving a conflicting name as another copy requires your confirmation. Existing recipes are not overwritten by that copying process. Chat originals remain separate from saved workspace recipes.
Free plugin access allows up to 30 active recipes. At or above that limit, you can still read, edit, scale, export and archive existing recipes, but cannot add more until below the limit. Eligible workspace access may allow more recipes. Ending a trial or paid subscription does not end free plugin access. A workspace without active paid, trial or complimentary access may be deleted after six calendar months without use through the connected ChatGPT plugin. Using that workspace through ChatGPT starts a new six-month period; renewing a subscription protects it while access remains active. Before automatic deletion, we send a warning with at least 30 days to act. Paid web-app features remain subject to the subscription terms. Subscribing later uses the same recipes and products; no conversion is needed.
The connection does not start a trial, subscription or payment. It cannot access saved photos, change existing product prices, manage team members or place supplier orders. Check AI-generated quantities, units, yields and instructions before use. Butterspace Recipes does not certify food safety or allergens.
You can disconnect recipe access without deleting workspace recipes or products. Disconnecting does not erase copies in ChatGPT. Existing ownership, acceptable-use and explicit account deletion rules still apply.
Your content and public links
You retain ownership of the content you add. You allow us and our service providers to host, copy, process, display and transmit it to operate the features you use, secure the service and meet legal obligations. This permission does not give us ownership of your recipes or permission to sell your workspace content.
Only upload content you are entitled to use and, for AI Import, send to the named AI provider. Do not submit unlawful material, malware or confidential personal information that is unnecessary for the task.
Anyone with a public recipe or menu link can read and copy its shared snapshot while the link is active. You can revoke the link. Uploaded photos have public file URLs; a direct photo URL can remain accessible separately from a shared page, including after a link is revoked. Do not treat those photo URLs as private storage.
We may restrict unlawful content or access when needed to protect the service, comply with law or address a material breach. Where lawful and practical, we will explain the reason and provide a way to challenge the decision.
Subscriptions, currency and tax
When paid plans are available, the plan page and Stripe Checkout show the amount, billing currency, interval and applicable tax before purchase. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly. Annual subscriptions are charged for the full year and renew annually. EUR and USD prices can differ; we do not promise a fixed exchange-rate conversion. Your bank may apply its own currency-conversion charges.
A purchase starts the paid subscription immediately, including a purchase during a trial. You authorize recurring payments until cancellation. We will give advance notice of a material price change where required by law. Stripe handles payment details and applicable VAT or sales tax. A company name or tax ID does not automatically establish a tax exemption.
Where an access code is offered, it grants the stated access period without an automatic charge at expiry. Our standard trial access code grants one organization 30 days. Complimentary access may have a separate end date or conditions communicated to its owner.
Billing settings and the Stripe Customer Portal, when available for your subscription, let the owner manage renewal, payment methods, billing name, company address, tax ID and billing email, and view invoices. Keep these details accurate. We do not receive your full card number.
Cancellation, refunds and withdrawal
Ordinary subscription cancellation stops future renewal and normally leaves access until the paid period ends. Cancel through Billing and the Stripe Customer Portal, or contact help@butter.space if you cannot access them. A failed payment or expired trial may restrict access. This does not automatically delete workspace content.
You can request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid Butterspace purchase by contacting us. This guarantee covers the first paid purchase, not each renewal. Outside it, cancellation does not ordinarily refund an unused period. Billing errors, defective services and mandatory consumer remedies are handled under applicable law.
If you are an EU consumer, you can withdraw from an eligible online service contract within 14 days of concluding it without giving a reason. Email a clear statement to help@butter.space. You can use this optional wording: 'I withdraw from my Butterspace subscription, purchased on [date], under account [email]. My name and address are [details].' No particular form is required.
For a valid withdrawal, we will reimburse payments due for refund without undue delay and within 14 days after receiving your notice, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed, without a refund fee. Our first-purchase guarantee provides a full refund within its 14-day period. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer's statutory rights or additional rights available in their country.
Export, reset and account deletion
You can edit or delete workspace items and revoke shared links. Reset workspace, when available, empties a kitchen while keeping the account. Reset affects everyone sharing that kitchen. Review its confirmation before proceeding.
Before a reset, we require a verified private recovery copy of the workspace content and uploaded photos. If that copy cannot be verified, the reset does not proceed. The copy is kept for up to 7 days. Contact help@butter.space within that time if you need recovery. We verify the workspace owner's authority and restore only into an empty workspace, without overwriting new content. Reset recovery does not delay explicit account deletion.
Workspace exports are available on request at help@butter.space, including after paid access ends, without another purchase. Request an export before deleting your account. We may verify your identity and authority before releasing workspace data. There is no self-service full workspace export control in the signed-in app at this stage.
To delete your account, open Settings > Account > Delete account, review the consequences and confirm. Deletion runs in the app, without an email request or a waiting period. We may require a fresh sign-in. Each workspace where you are its only owner is also permanently deleted for all members, with its content, uploaded photos and shared recipe links; its subscription ends immediately. The confirmation lists these workspaces before you proceed.
Workspaces with another owner, their content and subscriptions remain with their remaining owners when you leave. If you want a workspace to continue instead of being deleted, make another member an owner in Settings > Team before deleting your account. Update any payment method you supplied for a preserved workspace if you do not want it to remain in use there. Members who are not owners cannot delete the workspace by deleting their own account.
Deletion does not automatically issue a refund or erase financial records we must keep by law. If a provider failure interrupts deletion, workspace access stays closed and the app lets you retry. Provider backups are handled separately from active-account deletion.
After trial or paid access ends, restricted workspace content remains available for renewal or export during its retention period. Active paid, trial or complimentary access protects the workspace. Otherwise, a workspace becomes eligible for deletion after 6 months of dormancy, measured from the later of access ending or successful use through the connected ChatGPT plugin. Such use starts a new six-calendar-month period. Before automatic deletion, we notify affected members at least 30 days in advance. Accounts are also deleted only when they have no other workspace membership. Public sharing may be disabled while paid access is restricted. Explicit account deletion follows the immediate process above and does not wait for this period.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
Do not bypass access controls, access another workspace without permission, attack or overload the service, distribute malware, infringe intellectual property rights, or use public links to publish unlawful material. You are responsible for checking the accuracy and lawful use of your content and imported results.
We and our licensors retain rights in Butterspace's software, design, branding and documentation. These terms permit you to use the service; they do not transfer those rights or ownership of your content.
Responsibility and ending the service
We will use reasonable care in providing the service. We remain responsible for obligations and losses that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, including mandatory consumer remedies and liability for intentional misconduct. We do not guarantee error-free AI results, uninterrupted internet access or the accuracy of content supplied by users.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by your inaccurate inputs, decisions based on unreviewed AI output, unauthorized public sharing by your members, or events outside our reasonable control. This does not exclude our responsibility where the law makes us liable.
You can stop using Butterspace, cancel your subscription or delete your account as explained above. We may suspend access for a material breach, security risk, legal requirement or nonpayment. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the issue and allow it to be corrected. If we discontinue a paid service, we will give reasonable notice and provide any refund or remedy required by law.
Governing law, disputes and changes
Latvian law governs these terms. For business customers, disputes fall within the competent courts of Riga, Latvia, unless mandatory law says otherwise. Consumers keep the mandatory protections and court rights of their country of residence. Contact help@butter.space first so we can try to resolve a complaint. This does not prevent you from contacting a consumer authority or court.
We may update these terms as the service or law changes. We will publish the current version and effective date and give appropriate notice of material changes to a paid service. Changes do not remove rights that applicable law protects.
